8th annual Citrus County Toy Drive | Community Spirit
Citrus County, FL-- The Spot Family Center has announced the beginning of their annual toy drive, which helps make a difference for children in need during the holiday season.
The drive has upped their 2011 goal of receiving 4,000 toys to 4,500 this year. The ambitious goal was set in place to "ensure that every local child (ages 2 to 17) in need receives a gift," explains a release about the drive.
The Spot Family Center's Christmas Jam will then take place on December 23 and 24. Each day will have a different theme and encouraging message, though free food, fun, gifts and live entertainment will be plentiful on both days!
Registration for the Christmas Jam begins at 5:30 p.m. and closes promptly at 7 p.m. on both days. Wrapped gifts will be distributed to registered participants on the 24th, Christmas Eve.
Organizers require that all recipients are present to receive a gift, and that parents or guardians are there to register their children as well.
