Citrus County, Florida-- The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners recently proclaimed June 11th as "Chaplain Reverend Alan Woody Day".

They presented the proclamation to honor Chaplain Woody, who currently volunteers for the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and serves as Director of Mission Possible Inc.

Mission Possible is a ministry that answers approximately 500 letters a month from correctional institutions all over the United States and other countries, and sends packages filled with Bibles, books and other doctrinal literature to inmates to help them with problems or answer questions.

Chaplain Woody officially retired from the ministry in May of 2013, after serving in the ministry since 1972.
