Citrus County, Florida -- Following the bust of a Dunnellon meth lab Thursday night, Citrus County Sheriff's detectives continued their investigations into other active meth labs in the county Friday.

Detectives busted a second meth lab in the 2900 block of Carl G. Rose Highway in Hernando around 10:45 a.m. that resulted in the arrest of five people.

All five listed below were charged with intent to sell, manufacture, deliver or possess a controlled substance:

Roger Churchill, 27
Yahaira Acosta, 33
Douglas Sturtz, 32
David Whitley, 36
Rachelle Baker, 48

A third meth lab in the 4200 block of East Lake Park Drive in Hernando was then busted later Friday.

Detectives say during the clean-up of the third home it started to rain causing one of the hazardous items to spontaneously combust. The fire was small enough to control and no one was injured.

No arrests were made at the third home.

So far this year, the sheriff's office says 52 clandestine methamphetamine labs have been discovered and seized in the county.
