Police search for man involved in Inverness home invasion | Crime
Inverness, FL -- The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is looking for three men who broke into a home around 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Inverness and stabbed a man.
Alex Merrick, 18, of 4238 S. Ember Trail, told CCSO deputies he heard a knock on his back door and when he opened it he was jumped by three Hispanic males wearing dark clothing and looking unkempt. Merrick was home alone at the time. He suffered a cut just below his left eye, plus multiple puncture wounds to his right arm, back and legs. None appeared to be life-threatening, according to the CCSO.
The one suspect he could best describe for the composite sketch is 18 or 19 years old, between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slender build, brown eyes, and gelled short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants with pockets on the sides. The teen may also have a moustache.
The other suspect as 20 years old, between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing black jeans and a black zippered jacket.
The third suspect is described as 27 or 28 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing tan cargo shorts and a black T-shirt.
