Orange Line bus service free to residents in July

Citrus County, FL -- The county's weekday fixed bus line service between Beverly Hills, Lecanto and Inverness will be free to residents the whole month of July.

The Orange Line bus service offers convenient, free shopping and recreation opportunities for residents - without the cost and bother of driving.

County officials are offering the service free to entice more residents to use the fixed bus line. The county has a point to point appointment/pickup bus service, but the Orange Line is the county's step into creating a fixed route system for the greater county in the coming years. The busses operate Monday through Friday, starting at 6 a.m. and run until about 7 p.m. The complete circuit takes about two hours.

By stopping at main shopping centers coming into and going from the communities, the route is designed to help residents in Beverly Hills and Inverness make both short shopping trips, as well as get them across the county to various key areas and facilities. Bus Route Information
